photo shoot ~ jordan’s senior portrait session

So, lately I’ve been thinking a lot about how I want you to feel when I do a photo shoot for you – whether it is a senior portrait session, a family session, or a wedding.  And I have come to the conclusion that I’d like it if you were so comfortable with me that you felt as though you had a best friend who just happened to be an experienced photographer.  Someone who you are relaxed and at ease with {so important for good photos!}, but someone who is also trained and prepared to capture YOU as you really are.

I feel like we achieved that with Jordan’s senior portrait session.

We met at her family’s charming home and went through her outfit options together {I love giving fashion/clothing advice for shoots! :)}, and then took a few photos around her house before venturing out and about in OKC for the rest of her session.  Jordan is a sweetheart who has a completely chill attitude, so it was no hard task to truly enjoy this session with her.  I think her laid back, sunny personality shines through pretty obviously in these portraits.

Fact: I am and always have been fascinated by weeping willow trees.  If I am ever photographing you and there’s one around, you will be posing by/in it. :) {See more evidence of that in this recent session.}

I was also completely fascinated with Jordan’s perfect hair.  Geez.  Freckles and this gorgeous natural red hair – does it get any prettier than this??

The light was pretty much magical that evening.

All American girl. :)  Those freckles.  I die.

Jordan has played tennis practically her whole life, so of course we had to include that in her session.  I am thrilled with how all of these images turned out!

And we stopped by an Oklahoma City landmark building.  It’s one of my favorites.  {Check out the windy umbrella shot in front of this same building, from Haley’s senior session a couple years ago. :)}

From drawing to tennis, from having great taste in music to being an awesome conversationalist, I am completely impressed by what a cool girl you are! :)  And your walk with God is just as apparent and impressive as all the other cool things about you.  I’m glad I have gotten the chance to know you, and I thoroughly enjoyed taking your senior portraits!
